Upon accepting the quote and making payment, we will perform a detailed analysis of the artwork, including both scientific and historical evaluations. After the process is complete, we will deliver a thorough and comprehensive report.

Examinations typically take place after the research phase. However, if time is a critical factor, we can accommodate earlier evaluations to meet your timeline and specific requirements.

Due to the high value and fragile nature of works, especially those handled by Print Appraisers, we generally recommend against shipping unless absolutely necessary. To reduce risks, we offer alternative options for examination, such as:

  • High-resolution image reviews
  • Live video consultations (e.g., via Zoom)
  • On-site evaluations
  • Local assessments

We utilize a comprehensive range of scientific techniques, including:

  • Material analysis
  • Dating methods
  • Advanced photography and imaging
  • Forensic investigations

A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is included at no additional cost in the final report for authenticated pieces. This ensures the legitimacy of your artwork is officially recognized.

While initial inquiries and basic value estimates are provided free of charge, advanced services such as detailed analysis and authentication start at $300. Costs vary depending on the complexity and scope of the work required.

No, payment must be made upfront to maintain the integrity of our process and eliminate potential conflicts of interest.

No, we do not accept payment after the artwork is sold. Requiring upfront payment ensures the impartiality of our evaluations.

Examination Locations - We conduct artwork examinations at a variety of locations for your convenience, including your home, office, bank, attorney's office, art storage facility, or hotel if you’re traveling. We can also arrange examinations at art galleries, auction houses, government agency offices, customs entry points, law enforcement offices or warehouses, places of worship, religious centers, organizational premises, libraries, colleges, museums, conservation studios, or laboratories. For insurance and liability purposes, we do not receive or examine artworks at our own facilities.
