Paul Sérusier was a French artist, associated with Post-Impressionism, Synthesim, Cloisonnism and Les Nabis. Sérusier was born in Paris and studied at the prestigious, Académie Julian. Like the other Nabis, Sérusier spent time painting in Pont-Aven, in the north of France. Sérusier worked alongside Gauguin, Bonnard, Vuillard, Denis, etc. While Sérusier is generally remembered as a painter, he produced a number of lithographs, zincograph and woodcut prints. Sérusier’s paintings have also been widely reproduced as lithographs and giclee prints.
